Bessborough Centre Child and Family Services offer a range of parenting support groups to parents looking to advance their parenting craft or gain support in areas of parenting that pose a challenge.
Circle of Security
Circle of Security® is a parent-reflection program offering the core components of the evidence-based Circle of Security protocol to help foster more secure parent child-relationships. The group helps parents understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs, support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions and enhance the development of their child’s self esteem.
Non Violent Resistance
The NVR Programme is suitable for any parent/carer who feels controlled, intimidated or threatened by their child/teenager. It is also for any parent/carer who feels that they have to adapt their own behaviour because of threats or use of abuse or violence from their child or teenager. This is known as child to parent violence.
